Over the past four and a half years we've had quite the adventure building our little tree fort here. It's been a blast but there's always been a little something missing and it goes back to the root.
When we started the business, we only chose to pursue client based work as a means to fund our own wild schemes, one hundred lemonade stands that still haven't been built because we've been too busy painting fences for Tom Sawyer.
Our clients have been a wonderful batch of artists, educators, entrepreneurs, visionaries and scoundrels but it's time for us to part ways. We're going to spend this summer wrapping up the projects we've already started and once our desks are clear we'll rebuild, taking on a very minimal amount of work for hire. This could be brave. This could be stupid. The two go together like beer and bratwurst.
"How will you eat, pay rent and wear cool shoes?" Well... that's the challenge. Probably we'll starve to death in a year or so but at least big grins will be frozen on our hideous, gaunt faces when they find us. None of it really matters...
We're off to film giant squid.
